JDTlaw, Copenhagen, a Danish legal advicer<\/h1>\r\n

DTlaw is based in Greater Copenhagen (the Lyngby – Holte area) just north of the Center of Copenhagen.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Law office is managed by Master of Laws Jakob Dahl Thomsen who has a broad experience as Attorney. His lawyer\u2019s appointment was deposited in the Ministry of Justice with effect from 1 July 2021 but Jakob Dahl Thomsen continues to give legal advice without using the title Attorney of Law.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

The focus areas are partly based on his own experiences as\u00a0a med-tech entrepreneur<\/a> and businessman. In addition, he has experiences as a senior diplomat in the Danish Foreign Service thus making JDTlaw a Danish legal advicer firm with international experiences.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

JDTlaw primarily focuses on business law and corporate law issues – often with an international angle.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The focus areas include Danish and international contracts, marketing issues, recruitment and dismissal cases, intellectual property rights, and trademarks.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

JDTlaw also deals with public law.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

During his career as Attorney (the appointment was deposited as of 1 July 2021) Master of Laws Jakob Dahl Thomsen has had the opportunity to solve cases involving foreign companies and private persons.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n

Moreover, Master of Laws Jakob Dahl Thomsen has been serving as a Danish diplomat in Spain, France, Argentina and Kosovo. He has many experiences with contacts to international institutions (inter alia the European Union and the Council of Europe).<\/p>\r\n\r\n

He is also experienced with contacts to public authorities and private companies in other countries. Similarly, he has a broad knowledge of foreign legal systems and the interaction between the various legal systems.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The latter may be important if it was agreed that a contract should be subject to another country’s legal system. The issue becomes even more important if the intention was the courts of the other country should have exclusive competence to deal with any litigation concerning the contract.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

JDTlaw cooperates with lawyers. In some cases it might become advisable to include the expert knowledge of other legal advicers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

JDTlaw will then discuss this possibility with the client. This ensures a combination of the benefits of a smaller and committed legal advicer firm and the experiences that might be in other advisory firms.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
